Cookie Salad

This “salad” is what made my Father-in-law to coin the phrase “Jammy Salad”. The definition of which is a “salad” that contains any or all of the following: Cool Whip, mayo, Miracle Whip, Jell-O, cookies, cream, marshmallows etc… You get the idea. I am pretty sure he uses this term in order to detour us from making these salads, but we are immune to his ridicule and disapproval.  We continue to make them with joy and by the way, I have seen him eat plenty of Jammy Salads!

Our family is known for our ability to make spectacular “Jammy Salads”. This is the best one! If you are a daring person you can serve it with your meal, if not save it for dessert. . It’s easy and quick and I am certain your family will love it too. – Enjoy!

Cookie Salad:

1/2 pint buttermilk                                                                      1 small package instant vanilla pudding

10 oz. pineapple chunks drained.                                          15 oz manerine oragnes drained

12 oz Cool Whip (don’t use generic in this case)               1 pkg Keebler Fudge Stripes

Mix buttermilk, Cool Whip and pudding together. Add fruit and mix. Chill and just before serving break cookies and add to the rest of the salad. The cookies can be replaced with your favorite cookie.  Some people  have even used chopped up Snicker or Twix bars in place if the cookies (sinful, I know).

Mix Jell-O to Cool Whip

Add buttermilk and mix well, then add fruit

Add cookies just before serving
